Year 7 Students Present Sustainability Solutions to Power and Water
In Term 3, came to our Year 7s for help to investigate how water could be used more sustainably in the Northern Territory. Our World Studies staff worked with the Year 7 students looking into where water is used, wasted and impacted by human activity and, as such, what can be done to manage the situation. The students then undertook research and practical investigations to come up with recommendations, understandings and solutions to present to the Power and Water team.
The presentations took place in Week 10 and the Year 7s did a magnificent job articulating their findings and recommendations to the Power and Water panel. We are very proud of the development of understanding and connection students have made with this unit, not to mention how well they have worked both individually and in teams to identify real-world solutions for improved water sustainability.
Well done to our Year 7 students and the Science and World Studies staff, and thank you Power and Water for the opportunity to be involved in the development of solutions for such an important cause!
